Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled Stamper Operator to join our converting department. In this role, you will be responsible for the setup, operation, and maintenance of stamping and embossing equipment to ensure high-quality production output.
Key Responsibilities
• Review job specifications and requirements to ensure proper setup.
• Retrieve necessary stamping and embossing materials for production.
• Prepare the machine for operations, ensuring all components are set correctly.
• Inspect finished products using measurement tools to verify compliance with quality standards and make adjustments as needed.
• Document production performance and report results regularly.
• Identify and troubleshoot machine stoppages or downtime, conducting routine maintenance (e.g., lubrication, cleaning).
• Maintain an organized and clean work area, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Return unused materials and consumables to designated storage areas.
• Work overtime as needed to meet production demands.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
Skills & Abilities:
• Proficiency in reading both English and Metric rulers.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Basic computer literacy for documentation and reporting.
• Effective time management and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues effectively.
Experience:
• 3–5 years of experience operating Bobst stamping and embossing machines.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
Equipment Knowledge:
• Operation of Bobst SP 102-BMA stamper and Foilmaster stamper.
• Use of basic hand tools and measurement devices such as rulers and micrometers.
• Familiarity with pallet jacks for material handling.
Physical Requirements
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including frequent bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods.
• Capable of pushing and pulling skids using a pallet jack.
• Must occasionally lift up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to reach overhead and navigate stairs regularly.
• Strong vision capabilities, including close and distance vision, peripheral awareness, depth perception, and color recognition.
