We are seeking an experienced Process Engineer to oversee the erection, commissioning, and start-up of SCR Projects. This role involves managing the installation and start-up of systems for copper and aluminum rod mills. Key responsibilities include project management, planning, scheduling, budget management, and customer coordination.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee the installation and start-up of SCR systems.
• Act as site engineer, engineering coordinator, and start-up engineer.
• Develop new equipment and techniques, including hardware and software evaluation.
• Train SCR customers on operating procedures through various communication methods.
• Mentor new employees on the SCR process.
• Provide suggestions for equipment and process improvements.
• Address technical questions from customers and employees.
• Generate daily progress reports and detailed trip reports post-customer visits.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in industrial, electrical, mechanical, or chemical engineering.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in process engineering or operations management for industrial processing systems.
• Experience with Molten metal processing systems.
• Experience with combustion management systems is preferred.
• Ability to communicate design information from various documents such as vendor and SCR drawings, operating manuals and maintenance/operation manuals.
• Flexibility and adaptability to rapidly changing project requirements.
• Desired but not required: ability to use or willingness to learn AutoCAD.
• Desired but not required: Proficiency in an additional language such as Hindi, Chinese, Arabic, or Russian.
• Willingness to travel internationally up to 60% of the time for extended periods.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
