We are seeking a dedicated Assistant Nurse Manager to provide leadership and support for a behavioral health unit. Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee daily clinical and administrative operations to maintain a safe and therapeutic patient environment.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, including Joint Commission and state laws.
• Act as a liaison between nursing staff, administration, and admissions teams to ensure appropriate patient care.
• Respond to emergency situations, providing guidance and support to nursing staff.
• Conduct chart reviews and audits to maintain compliance with policies and procedures.
• Mentor, coach, and support nursing staff in their professional development.
• Manage staffing schedules, ensuring appropriate coverage based on patient census and acuity.
• Serve as a point of contact for patient, family, and staff concerns, ensuring timely resolution.
• Promote workforce diversity and encourage staff participation in decision-making.
• Participate in staff training, education, and performance evaluations.
Qualifications Required:
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) and completion of an accredited RN program.
• Minimum 3 years of psychiatric nursing experience and 1 year in a leadership role.
• Active New Jersey RN License.
• Valid U.S. Driver's License.
• AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification (must be obtained within 90 days of hire).
• Proficient computer skills that may include but are not limited to Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite platforms
• Strong communication, leadership, and computer skills.
Preferred:
• Master's Degree in Nursing (MSN).
• Psychiatric-Mental Health Nursing Certification.
• IV Therapy Certification.
Schedule: 6:45a.m. - 6:45 p.m.
