We are seeking a skilled and experienced Education Resource Specialist (RN) to join our transplant team in Houston, TX. This role is crucial in advancing the education and training programs for healthcare professionals in our abdominal transplant unit.
Responsibilities
• Design and deliver educational programs for outpatient, transplant ICU, and acute care settings.
• Provide orientation and ongoing training for clinical staff, incorporating best practices and compliance with OPTN and CSM guidelines.
• Collaborate with various teams to maintain high standards in patient care and staff education.
• Act as a resource for transplant staff, offering support for training and professional development.
• Participate in an intensive orientation program and other training initiatives to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
Qualifications
• Licensure: Current, unrestricted RN license in Texas or a multi-state compact license.
• Education: Master’s degree in Nursing or a related field (education preferred).
• Experience: Minimum of 5 years in acute care nursing, including 3 years as a kidney transplant coordinator and 1 year in a supervisory role.
Preferred
• Certification as a Transplant Coordinator is preferred but not required.
• Familiarity with Epic, OPTN, and CSM guidelines.
