We are looking for a seasoned leader to manage a Construction Materials Testing (CMT) team based in Milwaukee, WI. This role involves overseeing the complete project lifecycle, supervising field and lab teams, ensuring high-quality standards, and driving business growth within the construction materials sector.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage field service engineering projects and laboratory operations from start to finish.
• Lead a team of engineers, project managers, and technicians specializing in construction materials testing.
• Ensure adherence to safety standards, quality control, and best practices in CMT.
• Conduct technical reviews for proposals, reports, and engineering calculations.
• Oversee budget, forecasting, and financial performance for the department.
• Develop team goals and provide training to enhance staff skills.
• Support business development through networking, client engagement, and community involvement.
• Promote a positive team culture, strong company values, and high employee engagement.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program. Master’s degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program is preferred.
• 6-8 years of relevant engineering experience, including lab testing, construction site observation, field quality assurance, and supervision of CMT projects.
• Must be a Licensed Professional Engineer (PE).
• Strong leadership, communication, and project management capabilities.
• In-depth understanding of construction materials testing procedures and industry specifications.
• Proven track record in budget management, forecasting, and financial oversight.
